For those of you that don’t know I went to UCA Epsom and studied fashion journalism for three years and just read that a UCA student from the Farnham campus has had her design discovered by luxury department store Liberty’s. How exciting is that?! Angela Johnson who has recently graduated with a BA (Hons) in textiles for fashion & interiors will be selling her ‘Cracked Ice’ design at Liberty’s.

The fabric is dyed with procion reactive dyes and printed with both discharge and pigment paste. The collaboration came about at New Designers in London which is the biggest graduate design exhibiton in the country. Two women came over to look at her work and were interested in selling her designs at Liberty’s. I thought what an amazing opportunity for a graduate especially in this horrible economic climate.Liberty is currently testing the design on various fabrics and will be ready to be sold within the year. It goes to show that dreams to come true if you believe.
P.S- I am currently working at Sales Gossip at the moment for the next three months as a fashion editorial intern so posts will be scheduled from now on and will try and blog as much as I can.
