A couple of weeks ago, I got invited to the Great British Fashion Reception that was held the Commonwealth Club in London. The event was a basically about the 10 special issue fashion stamps that were created by a number of British designers a while back and to celebrate the rich heritage of British fashion and the exciting talent that this country continues to develop. A number of representatives from the UK’s clothing and textile companies were present and some of the designers themselves. Some of the outfits couldn’t make including the Alexandra McQueen dress as it was too fragile which was disappointing as I would have loved to have seen it up close and personal. However, all the other outfits made a show stopping presence and the stamps were framed and displayed on the walls.
