I don’t know about you but I love a bargain. There’s no day that there isn’t a sale on the high street or online from flash sales to half price savings. It’s the perfect opportunity to grab discounts and save money. The best bargain that I’ve ever gotten was from New Look where I got a jumper from £16 to £1! I am constantly on the lookout for deals and over the years I’ve become better at getting bargains and I’d thought to do a post on how to grab bargains like a boss and save money.
1. Sign up to Newsletters
I know getting loads of newsletters can be annoying and but now that the new GDPR law is in place, you can be selective about what you get in your inbox. Sign up to your favourite high street shops and you can even get a discount just for joining. You will also be the first to find out about sales, offers happening online and in store.
2. Use Promo Codes and Vouchers
Promo codes are the best ways to save money when shopping online. I use on Voucher Codes and Hot Deals UK for promo codes. Sometimes it can be a hit and miss but eventually, you do get one that’s valid and it’s the best feeling ever! Another website worth joining is Super Savvy Me.
3. Shop on Fashion Bargain Websites
If you’re looking for a serious bargain on fashion, check out discount online websites such as Everything is £5. It’s a fashion website that sells items for £5 and sources unsold stock from high street retailers. There’s also LOTD and Single Price. Please make sure to read reviews of websites so you know it’s 100% genuine and the returns policy.
4. Shop After Public Holidays
Have you noticed after Mother’s Day, Boxing Day, Easter, Father’s Day and etc gifts and cards are slashed next to nothing? That is the perfect opportunity to buy gifts for next Christmas, Birthdays or simply spoil yourself.
5. Join Facebook Bargain Groups
Last year I discovered a bargain Facebook group called Extreme Couponing and Bargains and it’s honestly the best group I’ve ever joined! There are over 900k members and you will find posts on bargains that people have found from 10p lamb shoulder to £2 shoes at New Look. Members also share tips on how to save money, dupes and so much more. Another group worth joining: Latest Deals
6. Shop In Outlets
There are retail parks around the UK dedicated to discounted shopping where you can save money on branded goods. Here’s a full list here. Be sure to check out online stores that have a “clearance” or “outlet section”.
Do you love bargains as much as I do? What have been your best bargains?
